Do you need to have a problem to seek Christian counseling?
Goals and plans surround our lives. Sometimes we don’t necessarily feel comfortable with sharing what those goals and plans are with friends or family. That’s where Christian counseling becomes a great avenue toward receiving biblical feedback over our goals and strategies. Christian counselors can put things into perspective through a faith-based lens. The word of God in the book of Proverbs is the book of wisdom. It’s no coincidence that it mentions verses that combine the words wisdom and counselors, or counsel and success, in the same line verse such as the following.
Proverbs 11:14, “Where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.”
Proverbs 15:22, “Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed.”
Proverbs 24:6, “For by wise guidance you will wage war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.
Counseling should not only be sought out in the presence of difficult circumstances. Counsel is always necessary because it helps guide us in the right direction with regards to different areas in our lives. Counseling helps us see beyond what our eyes can see. There is wisdom in seeking counsel, and in this case, Christian counseling.
