Dr. David Ralston is an Advanced Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association.  He was ordained into Christian ministry through the independent Christian church in 2009.  David earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and his PhD degree in Clinical Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary.

David specializes in working with individuals who are having trouble disconnecting their current beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors from the hurtful – possibly even shaming – experiences of their childhood.  He has added qualifications in Inner Healing Prayer, as well as utilizing the APS Temperament Profile to help men, women, and couples find true freedom from the strongholds of their past.

He and his wife Ann, also a credentialed Christian counselor, have an outstanding reputation for effectively co-counseling couples during the most difficult of times in their relationship.  Not typically found in counseling practices, Dave and Ann often partner in counseling couples together, offering godly counsel from both a husband’s and a wife’s perspective.

For ten years beginning in 2007, Dr. Ralston served as founder, director, and lead counselor at Life Training Christian Counseling in Owensboro, Kentucky.  In 2016, David and his wife Ann answered God’s call and leading to Conroe, Texas, where he joined the staff of The Ark Church as lead pastor for their Counseling, Recovery, & Restoration ministry. And in spring 2019, David and Ann returned to the bluegrass state to re-establish Life Training, their vibrant Christian counseling practice, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Beginning in 1983, David served as a Certified Athletic Trainer, serving the physical needs of competitive athletes and other physically active individuals.  In 2007, God placed a clear calling on David’s life to become a Christian Counselor, shifting his career direction from physically training others for athletics to emotionally and spiritually training them for life.

In 2010, David was honored by being invited to become a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry.  In 2002, he received the prestigious Crystallizing the Prisms Award for excellence in recognizing and honoring diversity in his community. And in 2000, he was selected by his professional peers as the Outstanding Professional of the Year.

Life Training provides Christ-centered counseling for marital, relational, and personal issues of life. Dr. Ralston combines his wealth of knowledge, experience, and skill with his God-given heart of compassion, grace, and patience to make him one of the leading faith-based counselors in the field today.

Ms. Ann Ralston is at the heart of the Life Training ministry, managing much of what goes on behind the scenes that keep this vibrant ministry moving forward.  She is also a relentless prayer warrior — lifting up each and every one of our clients in prayer on a daily basis.

Ann is a Certified Christian Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association. She holds her ministry credentials through the National Conservative Christian Church and has nearly completed a bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling through Cornerstone University.

Ann’s passion is for women, wives, single moms, and teenage girls, Her personal ministry includes meeting on a regular basis with numerous women who are seeking godly encouragement in their lives.  She is gifted in providing her female clients with a beautiful blend of compassion from her own life experience, wisdom from God’s word, perspectives from authors such as Lysa TerKeurst and Beth Moore, and objectivity from application of the APS temperament profile.

Ann Ralston spends countless hours in jails and prisons, ministering to women who so desperately need to experience the unconditional love and grace of Jesus Christ.

She also is the founder of Living Well with Ann, a growing division of the Life Training ministry that develops women in mind, body, and spirit.  Through skilled life coaching techniques, Ann assists her clients in learning to integrate balanced nutrition, exercise, body health, and self-worth, all from a Biblical perspective.

Having been raised in a broken, fatherless home, Ann had always believed that she was flawed and unlovable.  Through the APS temperament profile, God has shown her that her tender and meek spirit is due to her God-given Supine Temperament which leads her toward acts of humility, service, and sacrifice for the sake of others.

Ann and David Ralston recently relocated to Louisville, Kentucky. They have four grown children (Becky, Sean, Micheal, & Seth), a son-in-law (Dustin), a grandson (Clay), granddaughter (Cayson Grace), a daughter-in-law (Andrea), a basset hound (Nellie), and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Astro).
